How You Can Attend OCS
For Current Members of the National Guard:
  • The GMI Officer Candidate School will normally present recruiting briefings at the RTI in Macon, GA in October and January each training year.  The briefings are informational in nature and attendance is not required for entry in the OCS program.  Unit commanders should ensure that all soldiers who meet OCS prerequisites are notified and required to attend these briefings.  Additionally, soldiers who identify themselves as prospective officer candidates but who have a GT score of less than 110 should also attend these briefings.  These personnel will need to retest the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) and score a 110 or higher on the General Technical (GT) portion before being allowed to enter the OCS program. Also, those without a four-year degree who need to achieve an 850 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT will need to be prepared to test these weekends.
  • Further information concerning recruitment for GMI OCS is in GaNGR 351-7.
